The much-awaited ‘Alemle Lala’ album by Abiana has been launched.
The launch which took place on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at +233 Jazz Bar and Grill saw music industry players like Andy Dosty, Ameyaw Debrah, Kobby Kyei, Kuami Eugene, and many more.
This is the first time in the history of Ghana that a female vocalist musician has put together an album that is aimed at promoting local languages and trade by highlighting the virtues of all groups of people in Ghana across the various regions and Ghana’s heritage.
The ambiance at the venue exuded a great sense of national pride.
The program started whereby the MC for the amazing night welcomed all patrons at the show including the team members of +233 records where Abiana is on that label.
Going through the album title, Abiana said that “The title of the album is ‘Alemle Lala’. ‘Alemle’ in the Ga language is November and ‘Lala’ means songs. Hence songs from November.
She continued “I was born in November, a period of new beginnings. With my live band experience, I was exposed to different styles of music from funk, Jazz, Afrobeat, Highlife, and 80s contemporary music”.
